Alan Shepard was an American naval aviator, Test pilot and Astronaut. He was born on November 18, 1923 He was the second man to go to space and the first American. He was one of the seven astronauts from the mercury mission. The rocket in which he went to space for the first time was called freedom 7.He was the 5th man to walk on the moon during Apollo 14 mission. He was the first person to hit golf balls on the moon He has been in space for more then 9 days in total including the mercury and Apollo mission's. He fought in the world war 2. He was in the navy. Severed on destroyer USS Cogswell, it was placed in the pacific ocean. After world war 2 he started working as a test pilot. HE was placed in the astronaut hall of fame.  He died in July 21, 1998 because of leukemia at the age of 74.

  1. I liked how you added a whole movie about the book you are reading. That will keep viewers interested in your blog. Also, I like how you added lots of pictures. It makes the blog creative.

    I have not read the book "The Right Stuff." Your posts are very well - written and convincing so the next book I am going to read is "The Right Stuff." Your blogs are very detailed and explains plot, summary, and characters really well which makes me want to read your book.

    I suggest you to read "Whale Talk" because it is about a high school swim team and you like swimming so it would be the perfect book for you.
